LGBT Newspaper Details Romney’s Support Of Gay Agenda

Bay Windows, an LGBT newspaper in Boston has posted a lengthy article on its site detailing Mitt Romney’s long-time support of the gay political agenda.

The article notes that in 2002, the Romney for Governor Committee authorized campaign flyers that championed “gay pride.”

In 1994, Romney wrote to the Massachusetts Log Cabin Republicans and pledged to be a hero to the LGBT community. Romney is also quoted as saying:

“For some voters it might be enough for me to simply match my opponent’s record in this area. But I believe we can and must do better. If we are to achieve the goals we share, we must make equality for gays and lesbians a mainstream concern. My opponent cannot do this. I can and will.”

“I respect all people regardless of their differences,” Romney told Bay Windows in 1994. “There’s something to be said for having a Republican who supports civil rights in this broader context, including sexual orientation. …I think the gay community needs more support from the Republican party and I would be a voice in the Republican party to foster anti-discrimination efforts.”

Another Romney flip-flop? This is a 2002 flyer that was passed out at Boston Pride:

As a diehard Santorum supporter I've seen/read innumerable posts defending their candidate(s) saying that the social/moral issues are not important this election, that people are voting for a POTUS and not a pope/husband, that the SOCONS are going to lose this election, etc.

And yet, when these folks want to bash somebody they don't like, they're sure fond of going after the social issues.

The fix is in folks.

If either Romney or Obama is elected we will be left with only one method to regain our freedom.

There is no convincing reason for a conservative republican to vote for Mitt Romney let alone support his candidacy. if Romney and the PTB want to invest hundreds of millions of dollars into a failed election campaign, let them. If they have any sense, they’ll hedge their bets by giving to Obama too because they’re going to have to deal with him for another 4 years.

One of the things that makes America great is we have choices. Take this election for instance. We likely will have a choice between a Ulta-Liberal Rino and a radical marxist.

He is a chronic loser. Newt should remind Mitt and everyone else of this frequently.

agree , I am so sick of the GOP and their liberal social issues.
If one is liberal on social issues then vote for libertarian but obviously there is a reason why the primaries start in a north east open primary state and that is to movement for their liberal guy.

How anyone can vote for the sheep in wolf clothing is beyond me.
The other day he said he was for marriage one man and one woman but then goes onto that homosexuals can get kids, homosexuals can serve openly etc.

The snake is trying to be everything due to his desperation of wanting that nomination and then thinking us true conservative will fall into line with him and back him.

Well no frigging chance will I , my family and most I know who are voting.

Those which vote for him are just ignorant and only see the name and the letter after it and are no better than the fools on the left who only see the letter.

Newt needs to stop the Bain issue and go after Romney hard and point out these issues.

It’s time for Newt to push the red buttons on the ICBMs.

It’s time for Perry and Santorum to drop out and line up behind one conservative.

If the big 3 would talk, then they can agree on post-election positions for Santorum and Perry.

Polls say that Newt is running away from Rick & Rick in S. Carolina.

I think the Bain issue has hurt Romney, big time.

Newt, Perry and Rick are splitting the vote and this needs to stop.

Perry has no chance now and might as well help either Newt or Rick.
But Newt and Rick need to get together and say I will run, you give me your votes and support and one of us will be the VP.

newt is great as a VP because he can go into attack mode against bozo and dopey plus attack the bias media.

Let others do that line of attack IMO.

Newt can point out other issues but right now Rick, Perry and Newt are splitting the vote and this needs sorting out to stop the establishment elitist cross dressing lot.

Oh and FOX makes me sick for their support for their socially liberal man.

I think after SC, that won’t be a problem anymore. Perry and Santorum know that SC is their last stand.

Maybe Rick and Newt can do a deal and one of them drop out and become VP.

Romney needs to be stopped and those who vote for him are just as ignorant as those on the left who only see a D or an R at the end of a name.
