I delivered chicken as one of my first jobs. Chicken Delight!..Late one night, in Rio Linda (very dark country home- not much electricity around) I went to the door, delivered the meal, and got back to the truck that had a small oven warmer on the passenger side of the bench seat. The windows were down as it was warm that evening. As I got in the truck, shut the door, and started it up, something flew across the back of my neck headed out the window (a cat- I think).
Being much younger with powerful bladder and colon control, nothing much happened but, that scared the virtual crap out of me for a few seconds.
On another delivery (to Rio Linda, again) I had to drag five chihuahuas to the front door (once I entered the chain-linked front yard) where they sunk their teeth into my tennis shoes and wouldn't let go. I dragged the little turds up the stairs and onto the porch where the customer wasn't fazed at all. For those of you who live in Rio Linda.............
I stopped going there when they started wrapping their burgers in environment friendly thin paper.
Hard to believe there was a time not too long ago when Burger King was considered a real competitor of McDonald’s.
Boston burger served on "white trash bun" on butcher board----fries in brown paper bag.
Sounds like you had an interesting job!!!!
Whataburger Rocks. I can’t get White Castles here either.
