Seems like bad timing on this story....we have almost no snow fall in the autumn this year and I heard this summer was how terrible it was with the drought in Texas ect....

The summer felt cooler to me, but you can't have it both ways.

I have a question for anyone living in coastal areas. Have you noticed that the sea is starting to cover land not previously covered? If you live on an island have you noticed the seawater rising and covering beaches? I thought we’d have submerged land by now, isn’t that what Al the Gore said? And now we hear hot causes cold, I am so confused by all these experts, I’m starting to seriously doubt them.

Judah, in my mind your a complete moron. I would like to know how much money was wasted in this phoney climate study and who in government signed off to fund it. Judah. It’s all over for you political climate scammers. Nobody is buying the AGW/CO2 biased climate propaganda anymore. That scam collasped faster than al gore can put on his hollywood disguise when going in to gas his SUV, after the release of the climategate emails revealed the fraud.

What about autumnal ascension and vernal recession? I’ve heard so many stories about “autumn creep” and “spring creep”, where the falltime and springtime weather patterns eat into the winter. Funny that this article came out just as we’re experiencing the first average wintertime temperatures in the continental US in the season, after a really warm, dry winter.

Next they will be telling us that cold weather is the direct result of cold temperatures.

This guy manages to say it’s getting warmer and getting colder in the same long sentence. I was afraid he’d start throwing in more variations to go for the world’s longest, dreariest sentence.

Actually if you look at history. Winter(cold weather) has always followed summer(hot weather). Exact temperatures have always been a variable. But the facts are summers are more heated and winters are colder. Wasted monies for silly study.

Partly true.

I grew up in the 1950’s and we have VERY severe winters and very hot summers.

THEN, in the late 1960’s the winters and summers began to get milder and did so until recently and then got more severe and now they appear to be getting milder again.

Conclusion: Hot Summers and Cold winters DO Correlate, but have NOTHING to do with GLOBAL WARMING!!!

Except that we’re having a warm winter here so far, which I suppose is also due to global warming. Last years brutally cold winter is also due to global warming.

Here in the HOT Inland Empire area of So. California we aren’t experiencing the sustained triple digits in the Summer months that we did in the 1990’s. We have a few days of the triple digit heat unlike weeks, months at a time during the early to mid 1990’s. It is NOT uncommon to see sustained heat in the 90-99 degree range however, but NOT the triple digits like we had back then.

It’s definitely cooler weather now than ten years ago.

Winter seems to be consistant with So. Cal Winters as I’ve experienced them my entire life being a native So. Calif. person. Rain goes in ten-eleven year cycles. This year shouldn’t be a very exciting rain year if the weather cycles theory is correct.

So, even if that line of thinking is true - warmer summers are helping create colder winters - then, with the concept that snow-cover reflects more sunlight, helping to make it cooler, then with less snow cover in the arctic but more snow cover further south, then isn’t nature just self-rebalancing the warming and cooling affects?

Sure you can. It's called Global Climate Change.™

Is it warmer than average today? It is because of Global Climate Change.™

Is it colder than average? It is because of Global Climate Change.™.

Dryer? Wetter? Cloudier? Less cloudy? Windier? Less windy? It doesn't matter! No matter what the weather is, it is because of Global Climate Change.™

It's all Bush's fault. Womyn and minorities will be hardest hit.

Is there anything Global Warming cannot do? Anthropogenic Global Warming Theory explains everything: cold, hot, warm, tepid, wet, dry, humid, arid, sunny, cloudy, fog, rain, sleet, hail, wind, calm, tides, eczema, arthritis, liver spots, sun spots, polka dots, ragged tots. AGWT is unfalsifiable, all observations confirm it at the 100% confidence level.

If these “scientists” had predicted this BEFORE it happened, I might have given them some credibility. Their hand waving and excuses AFTER the event simply exposes them and their cult as phony. They have no more credibility than Harold Camping explaining why the world didn't end last May.
