We need a fighter to go up against Obama.

Newt has proven in the debates and in the campaign against Romney that he is willing to take the gloves off.

The time has come to rally behind Newt Gingrich!

“Gingrich leads among men with 29%, followed by Paul with 23%, Romney at 18%, and Santorum with 14%. Among women, Romney leads with 38%, followed Gingrich with 22%, and Paul with 18%.”

Except, of course, for our intelligent FReeperettes, can’t we just have the women folk sit this one out?

The real question is why were Santorum's number's that high in the first place.

He shot up in Iowa for no apparent reason.

He is simply a diversion from the only threat to Romney, Newt.

You have totally misrepresented Dr. Paul's position. As for your suggestions that he promotes isolationism & gutting U.S. defense, etc., let me refer you to a discussion of what George Washington had to say, relevant to what Dr. Paul has actually argued with respect to the issues you appear to be referring to:

Pseudo Pragmatism.

Note that Washington's discussion involves an analysis of the psychological issues involved, and actually nails the emotions behind much of the contemporary rhetoric, including the smears directed against Dr. Paul.

I think it is high time that we dispassionately discussed the actual issues, and remembered Reagan's 11th Commandment, by not engaging in smear tactics against any of the Republican candidates.

In a few months, we are going to have to desperately try to come together.

It’s very peculiar to see Santorum go from 24% to 7% in one week.

Rick may be a fine conservative, but after watching him, it is apparent that he does not have the "it" needed to inspire people. Rick has zero charisma. Sad, he is only going downhill after Iowa.

Hmmm….

Speaker Gingrich-led Republicans….the result:

* Four consecutive balanced budgets
* Over $500 billion of debt paid off
* Major welfare reform accomplished
* 11 million new jobs for America
* Unemployment falling to under 4%.

Governor Willard-led.....the result:

Strike one = Romneycare with public option, intrusive mandates, death panel exchanges, and massive federal subsidies including subsidized $50 abortions through Planned Parenthood

Strike two = Flagrantly appointing tons of ulta-liberal judges

Strike three = A pathetic 47th in job creation as a massive business tax increasing governor after first, shipping American jobs to China for many years as a Bain executive

I wouldn’t. If Hitler ran against Satan himself, I’d not vote.

Robot Nixon.
* Why settle for the lesser of two evils?
* We need a president who is made in America and represents American manufacturing.
* A president who believes in America and has the cybernetically enhanced firepower to back up those beliefs.

Ron Paul is NOT a Republican candidate. Ron Paul is a libertarian, and a extreme nutty one at that. He should be in the Libertarian Party but nobody pays any attention to them. Ron Paul is NOT conservative and he is a major threat to the defense of this nation.

You want to discuss issues? I'll give you issues:
Ron Paul praises traitors. That is an issue.
Ron Paul published vile newsletters for decades and then lied about them. That is an issue.
Ron Paul wants to close ALL US foreign military bases. That is an issue.
Ron Paul does not have a problem with terrorist nations getting nukes. That is an issue.
Ron Paul is supported by and sympathizes with the Occupy parasites. That is an issue.
Ron Paul appears on kook fringe conspiracy shows and panders to those nuts. That is an issue.
Ron Paul has partnered with Soros and Barney Frank. That is an issue.
Ron Paul has recently gained the support of Stormfront, Code Pinko, and the KKK. That is an issue.
Ron Paul wants to gut the US military. That is an issue.
Ron Paul blamed the US for 9/11. That is an issue.
Ron Paul panders to the Truther whackos.

Is that a good start for “issues”?

At this point, it can’t hurt.

I have to admit that I've been toying with that sentiment, too. The race has devolved into craziness. That said, Paul won't win, but he should have enough delegates to demand something -- Fed Chairmanship or Sec'y of Treasury might not be bad spots for him.

Yes. Santorum is slipping because he is being ignored by the media. The word is that he won the Iowa primary. they are doing a recount. All we hear is Romney won both and is now the assumed nominee. Any way Santorum did better than Newt in both contests.

That’s what the poll is showing. Paul is rising, Romney is rising (to 49 percent in SC!).

Newt can’t win if it’s 49 percent between Paul and Romney.

I’m not sure why the Newt fans are so happy about this poll, this is bad news for him.

Yeah, I’m totally thrilled with Mitt/Paul/Newt finish in SC.

Looks like that’s what is going to happen. Enjoy the fruits.

I watched the knives come out against Cain. I’ll be damned if those same knives come out against Santorum.

Yeah, Newt is just ‘inspiring’ people to victory. He’s yet to beat Paul here.

What are you going to say when Paul passes him in SC? ;) I bet THAT will be a shock.

Why would they be afraid of a Newt victory? It means the gravy train keeps on rolling.

Also - the man simply can’t beat Romney. If they can push out the only conservative who can beat him then they can set up the 3 card monte that they’ve been trying to do from the beginning.

Obama - Romney as the nominee. Obama - Romney - Newt after SC is their wet dream. Then nobody has to care about the conservatives and Obama wins.

There is not much on which I disagree with him. At this point, it can’t hurt.

Are you out of your mind? It can't hurt to surrender to the terrorists? It can't hurt to experiment with perverts in the military? It can't hurt to legalize the legalization of all illegal drugs and prostitution? It can;t hurt to blame America for every problem in the world? It can't hurt to put millions into earmarks? It can't hurt to let OWS rule? It can't hurt to take our walking papers from code pink?
If the surrender monkey's policies can't hurt, nothing can.

. He can do that all by himself with the stroke of a pen making all executive orders since 1933 null and void.

But you know Cut and Run will not do anything. In the over quarter century he has been in Washington has he ever done anything, except acquire more earmarks than anybody running and blame America for every problem in the world?

and only Ron Paul is talking about that.

And can you name one thing the surrender monkey has ever done but talk? Other than acquire more earmarks than anybody running and blame America for every problem in the world?
I am still waiting for any paulbot to inform me of ANYTHING he has ever actually accomplished. And I have been asking this question for about four years.
