I know. Short of a miracle comeback of historic proportions, 2012 simply will not be Governor Perry's year. I'm now tepidly and unenthusiastically supporting Newt Gingrich, a man who's but half the conservative that Rick Perry is (and with twice the baggage).
Hopefully Perry learns from this and can re-establish himself for a future run. He remains the best man for the job.

I'm not criticizing everyone. Nonetheless, it was shameful how Governor Perry was treated by many on this forum when he strongly entered the race. It became nothing but "Gardasil" and "La Raza Ricardo." And somehow now Gingrich and Santorum are the "conservative" stalwarts running against Romney? Really?
