The far left in Europe and America has attained the same phantasmagoric and orgiastic repudiation of reason as their predecessors, the leaders of the French Revolution.
The hopes of egalitarianism embraced by the leaders of the French Revolution included eliminating real and perceived inequities by abolishing class distinctions, which project included killing off the aristocracy and clergy while de-Christianizing society. They hoped by so doing to begin society anew.
However, in their wildest dreams, none of the leaders of the mobs ever advocated the elimination of gender as a means of establishing liberté, egalité et fraternité.
But the addled progeny of the Revolution, here and abroad, are seeking to do just that. The hope appears to be that the end of discrimination will be achieved by rendering the sexes fungible -- or better yet, nonexistent. The elimination of gender distinction and the establishment of androgyny are to usher in communal utopia.
For example, the most recent Council of Europe convention on gender has defined gender as a purely social construct. Eliminating biological distinctions as the determinative factor of gender, the Council has redefined gender as meaning "the socially constructed roles, behaviors, activities and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for women and men."
Lest it be thought the Council's definition of gender is a mere aberration, its "advanced" sociological philosophies advocating the abolition of gender are to be found in academia, both here and abroad.
For example, Magnus Hirschfield, author of the The Sexual Revolution opines:
[I]n the bourgeois, capitalist societies of the West which are dedicated to individual freedom, the sexual revolution continues. The right to sexual self-determination is considered as important as ever, and, indeed, various sexual liberation groups are working hard to extend it.

Quite frankly, if our society accepts gender redefinition as a merely societal construct, it means the end of civilization as we know it -- not mere reformation or transformation, but the abolition of civilization itself.

The title of the piece shows that the bad guys are winning.
The correct term is ‘sex’, not ‘gender’.
In standard English, the word gender is only used to distinguish between language forms, especially in romance languages like French. ANy other use is a jocularity or blunder (see Fowler’s Modern English Usage).
Changing the common term from something concrete and real like the word “sex” into a created construct (as all language is an abstract construct) like “gender” was a huge error, helped along by the Puritans who are afraid of the word invoking thoughts of relations.
After reading this whole article I have come to one conclusion.
The dolphins may be smarter than us. Dolphins at least know they are male or female.

And it is not just Romance languages which have gender. The Germanic languages do also, and English is in that group. In fact, all Indo-European languages have gender distinctions.
Gender is not the same as sex, as is shown by the example of German.
German is a good example (and should have some bearing for English-speakers, for English is just a form of German with many French and other loan words, and a less inflected grammar.) The definite article in German varies according to gender, but note that the word for girl is das Mädchen (neuter!), because it is formed with the diminutive ending -chen, and all such constructs are always neuter. Obviously, classed by sex, girls are female. But in German, girls are neuter in gender. Sex and gender are not the same.
The dog in German is der Hund (masculine), and the cat is die Katze (feminine, like most nouns which terminate in -e in the nominative). Well, obviously not all dogs are male, and not all cats are female, or they could not reproduce!

I took two years of German in high school, and my paternal grandparents spoke “high” and “low” German. They were born in the US, but my great-father was an immigrant.
I have always wondered why der Junge was “der”, and Mädchen was das.

The hordes from the Third World believe in the differences between sexes, and they are inheriting the earth (the US included). People trying to dismiss such differences are a vocal but dwindling minority.
