ANUARY 16, 2012 Jon Huntsman to Drop Out of Presidential Race

BY CAROL E. LEE AND NEIL KING JR.

Republican presidential candidate Jon M. Huntsman Jr. intends to drop out of the nomination contest on Monday and endorse rival Mitt Romney, the Huntsman campaign said.

"He's going to endorse Gov. Romney tomorrow and urge the party to come together," one person briefed on events said.

A Huntsman aide said Mr. Huntsman was proud of his third-place showing in New Hampshire last week but felt his campaign was standing in the way of a Romney win in Saturday's primary election in South Carolina.

this is how smart people get it done... the guy just got endorsed by the State paper and he drops out the same day to help Romney.. but you won’t see Santorum and Perry step up and do the same thing to help the ONLY guy who can derail Romney in SC.. should have guessed it from the guy who isn’t a team player and actively campaigned for a pro abortion party switching turncoat.. and Perry?.. hell he’s not even in this war anymore but he’s got a bankroll and his koolaided minions who continue to talk Perry surges when he goes from 5% to 6%

Agree 100%. Perry needs to think beyond himself and quit now.

This is all according to script. The establishment offered him as an alternative when they saw the resistance to Romney. Huntsman was always the backup plan, but he never got off the ground. Evidently, the country club elite think their boy Romney has it safely made now.

“Agree 100%. Perry needs to think beyond himself and quit now.”

Things will sort out soon enough. All too soon, if you ask me. If something happens and Gingrich & Santorum drop out, are you going to automatically support Governor Perry?

Well, mentally how I had it was my preference was for Santorum, Gingrich, by far margin — then Perry, who was far over Huntsman, Romney, and that 9/11 was an inside job nutbag Paul. So in my case, yes, I’d vote for Perry.

Mind you, if Skippy the Wonder dog was the nominee, or some Pagan who danced naked around stonehenge while drinking wild coyote’s blood, I’d take the dog/pagan over Zero.

Come on. you’re so bitter. Have a heart. Humor us. We’re having so much fun being attacked by every element of the Republican Party since Citizen Cain on day one. Since we’re worthless, stupid koolaid drinkers and Perry doesn’t ever rise in the polls, what are you so concerned about? We’re harmless and so is our candidate. Why is Cain greasing up that attack Perry train when Perry doesn’t even stand a chance? maybe Gingrich and Santorum will drop out. Will you vote for the last conservative standing?

I would take Skippy or the pagan too, but I would not want to drink with either of them.

I get it. I feel the same way about Gingrich. I’ll vote for him.

I will take any of them over Zero (except Huntsman). I think our problem may be that we have too many to choose from. We need a choice— a conservate vs a liberal. Pay no attention to the nasty campaign. It can’t be a tenth as bad as the baggage Zero has. We should have a smoked room for the top conservatives and nominate one to go against Romney. Guaranteed the conservative will beat O’Bummer by a long shot. no one has anything to complain about—just vote and get BO out of the atmosphere.

Huntsman endorsing Romney is only further proof that Romney is a Rino to the Nth degree.... As if we needed any more proof.

If Perry were the only candidate left against Romney-yes.

They should, if they have not done so already
