Uh, what budget is that?
Next year this time we will all be moaning as they raise the debt ceiling again.
This vote will not do the big spenders out on the campaign trail in S.C. any good. I am expecting votes to move as Congress reminds the voters just how huge our debt is.
Rather than moaning, it appears the only thing left is an ultimatum from “the people” that if there is no budget by... name a date, and if the budget does not reflect decreases commensurate with the extreme debt, and if it is not in balance, etc etc etc, there will be no tax money forthcoming to continue the insanity. All tax monies will be filtered through state government.
That said, many if not most state governments are as complicit as the FED and I wonder just how many SS, SSI, govt pensioners, and food stamp recipients, would be willing to add their voice to one of the few options left besides waiting for everything to go bust? Does this mean all is lost? No, but the options such as they are, don’t inspire.
I clicked on the national debt clock live link. It was taking forever to load and it slowed my computer down so much I had to force quit the browser. It was still running really slow so I had to restart the computer.
Good luck:
In 2009 the debt stood at $11 trillion and was projected to grow to $20 trillion by 2020.
We’ll be fortunate if it’s below $25 trillion by then. If this madness doesn’t stop, we could be looking at a debt of $50 trillion by 2030. The interest payments alone would be more than the yearly revenues. There would be no money to pay for ANY government services. No national defense, no nothing.
“You damn well better question their integrity.”
What integrity? By definition, libs have NO integrity.
My personal belief is that this train is so far down the tracks nothing can stop it. Even if an austerity plan would stop it who is going to agree to it? Look at Greece? They cannot institute an austerity plan because the public is rioting. We have 41% of the population here who will never agree to austerity. The best thing you can do at this point is to prepare your own family and be ready for a really hard landing in the next several years.
“The most grievous decision al Queda made in its 9/11 2001 attack was not to crash a jetliner into the Capitol Dome.”
Yes; I’ve always wondered what would’ve happened if the passengers on Flight 97 had backed off. Would it have been good for America to have to elect “all new people” in the aftermath of the Twin Towers and Pentagon tragedies?
There is a debate about whether United 93 was headed for Congress or the White House. I didn’t see the Hollywood version.
I agree, the only thing the USA can realistically do is inflate. There is not the political will to cut spending so get ready, if you can, for $500 a barrel oil. A nice home garden with maybe a few chickens would be at the top of my to do list. After guns an ammo of course. Canned meat is a good idea too, while you can still afford it.
Under the circumstances IMHO it doesn’t matter which, those folks who took the bull by the horns, knowing the end result, saved the face of the Nation. Far better a smoking hole in Shanksville than the endless crowing of Muslims if the real target was hit.
Yep thats our plan.
