His point was that feminism has killed chivalry. It had nothing to do with hiring practices or pay scales.
Feminism isn’t to blame for male crew members pushing ahead of children and the infirm, which is what this story was about.
I get the point about feminism killing chivalry and all that, but feminism coudn’t ever trump how I, and probably most of us, were raised. Put me on that boat, and there’s NO WAY I’m squeezing past a lady and/or a child to jump in a lifeboat. Common decency should trump all the other BS.
