Most people who call themselves "Christian" are products of our public schools and they know little if anything of the actual principles and beliefs of Christianity. Most Americans are products of public schools and know little if anything about the actual principles of the Constitution or the beliefs of it's founding fathers.
An ignorant, not a stupid, electorate gave us Obama. A Country dependent on an ignorant electorate cannot be successful.
There’s the issue of “don’t pray on the street corners but go into your room” versus “don’t hide your light under a bushel.”
It all depends on motivation, doesn’t it? I have no grounds to think Tebow is a hypocrite, trying to win public acclaim by his praying - he does get some, but he gets even more condemnation. So he is trying to give the glory to God, and let people see what God is doing in his life.
OTOH, plenty of people will accuse him of being a hypocrite and not following the teachings of his faith...what does it mean to be “as wise as serpents?” Does it have anything to do with seeing yourself as others see you, understanding that you the messenger are to a degree the message?
OTOH, what is the importance of a football game in God’s mind? I would guess it’s really the conduct of the players that matters. Thanks be to God for letting us play games - but football is only a game.
I know you can't get in, no matter what your beliefs are, if your not.
He should have dispelled that, publicly, as should have all Christians.

Really? I think a Muslim quarterback who shouted Allahu Akbar or kneeled to Mecca, and praised Allah as helping him and his team in his interviews, would be soundly boo’d off the field or at least very unpopular.
