NYTimes ^ | February 24, 2001

The Huntsman Corporation, a leading chemical company, said yesterday that Bain Capital Inc., the buyout firm that owns Domino's Pizza and Sealy Mattress, agreed to buy a $600 million stake in the closely held business. Huntsman said it would use part of the money to buy out Imperial Chemical Industries' 30 percent share of Huntsman.

I agree. He has Ron Paul protecting him - he never questioned Mitt's lack of military service but made a big deal of Newt's. And MB attacked Perry and Newt but never Mitt and Cain never questioned him nor his Romneycare. His buddy Huntsman was there to protect him, also. He surrounded himself w/these candidates in the debates - His buffers attacked Perry and Newt. They declined the debate with moderator Trump for good reason-no media moderator to protect him.

Fix in? You 'betcha! I watched the debates with no candidate to cheer on - so I was unbiased and it was amazing to see it all being played out and all the BS analyzing 'the act' after the debates was comedy central for me.

Watch all his buffer candidates come out and support him. He's been working on this since '08. He just needed his players - those who are politically hungry.

Notice that there is very little coverage of Newt even on Fox. Romney is the boy for Fox and they will do anything to give Newt as little time as they can. Yes, the fix is in for their boy Romney.

Agreed I just watched an hour or so of FNC and its all how Romney is near impossible to beat.I don't like any of this at all.

Too many coincidences and no mention of the Bain purchase that I have seen anywhere.

Notice how it is ASSUMED Romney will be the candidate. The media especially has anointed him the frontrunner as have the major players in the party. So of course, those with the money will contribute to Romney's war chest, making it impossible for any other candidate to attract the necessary financial resources.

So again I ask, why bother with primaries? Why even have the debates? The whole process had been corrupted from the very beginning.

And sadly , it means we will have another four years of Obama. Maybe more if be becomes dictator for life. The Republicans have screwed up any chance for us to take back this nation.

It was, normally I get nasty with conspiracy theory nuts. Since most conspiracy theories require time travel for perfect timing and advanced planning.

Absolutely. But the presidential election has been fixed for a long time. I seriously wonder if the votes are counted properly. I doubt they are.

The republicans are as big if not bigger problem than the democrats. All the politics is fixed. If it wasn’t why does America always go in the direction the country doesn’t want it to ? Big money controls just about everything.

I like what one presidential candidate in NH said a couple elections back the guy was a no name from NH I think. If your vote really mattered do you really think you would still have the right to vote ? He was so spot on. It is obvious that Newt would be the candidate if the world media wasn’t against him like Fox. Newt has been blacked out. I call the American media the world media because they aren’t for America and are controled by people from other countries.

“Huntsman is a money making machine. Only a fool would turn down a chance at some of that action.”

There was a time when “conservatives” would applaud both Bain and Huntman for doing very well in business.

Huntsman 12,000 employees and over $9 billion revenue.

I saw a Rasmussen poll that the attack on Romney/Bain by Gingrich did NOT obtain the desired result.

Americans apparently value the ability and willingness to downsize when necessary.

Our governments at all levels need a lot of downsizing.

That is because you have vertigo from all that time travel. I mean how would they know in 2001 that they needed to buy the stock. If the company so named really has anything todo with the named parties today. Someone had to go back and tell them. Nothing nasty about it unless, such travel, makes you lose your lunch.

What was that story the otherday about a willard company advising obummer about taking over the auto industry. And it turned out it had a similar name, but was a different company with different owners. So buying that stock in 2001 and holding it for leverage 11 years took a lot of advanced notice. If I had had the ability to do that I would have bought Microsoft on day one.

There has been one caucus and one primary in a state with very little population and Fox has already called it for Romney. If that doesn’t scream fix, what does ? NH has very little electoral power. Practically none and they are calling it. My gosh the FIX is in. Everybody needs to vote against Romney

I personally like John Huntsman Sr. I remember reading some years ago that he “lost” millions on a deal due to him making a promise to sell at one price and something happened that drove the value through the roof before any paperwork was signed. Huntsman went with the verbally agreed to deal despite the fact that he could have backed out. The other businessman who was telling the story said it was because Huntsman saw the handshake as good as any contract.

He’s also a major philanthropist and founder of the Huntsman cancer centers which are a recipient of big bucks from the Koch brothers as well.

I have no interest in voting for his son.

I do, too, as well.
Fine man. Never got a hint
of anything close from his
son.

“FYI .. that buy-in and financial connection with Huntsman was in 2001.”

As Perry would say, Oops.

The only reason Huntsman was in the race was to confuse was to confuse the anti-mormon faction of the GOP primary vote.

Mission accomplished, check cashed.

It really sickens me that I was sucked in by Fox.

As for Romney, at least I won’t waste gas going to vote.
