From another article:

"The hearse was built by the Miller-Meteor company as a display vehicle to introduce the new model year body at the National Funeral Directors Association Convention held in Dallas in October of 1963. At the end of the convention, the O'Neal Funeral Home bought the hearse not knowing that just a month later, on November 22, they would use it to transport the body of President Kennedy."

Back in the day, was it a big deal for the families to know their loved ones were being carried the hearse that transported JFK? Was that a big sell in the funeral arrangements?
