Video: Gingrich vs. Juan Williams on the “food-stamp president”
HotAir ^ | 1/16/2012 | ALLAHPUNDIT

Via BuzzFeed. Between this, the exchange with Ron Paul on Bin Laden, and the zinger about 99 weeks being an associate degree, I’m thinking he might have turned South Carolina from a solid Romney lead into a nailbiter. Has any candidate at any debate had the crowd more riled up than this?

Here’s the bit with Williams plus, via Breitbart TV, the OBL question. I hope Juan is reporting this as an in-kind contribution to Gingrich 2012. Exit quotation from Tom Bevan of RCP: “Newt really is the Honey Badger.”

Still thought Fox deliberately limited Newt's time.

However, on the whole, Newt did a great job with the time he had.

They didnt give Gingrich “fair and balanced” time to respond to even a few personal hits..however, he is able to say so much more in 30 seconds than most say in 2 mins.

I thought they did as well, though, he was awesome!!

Amazing debate. I think Newt will get a good bump now.

TBBT,

He should run immediate ads— “Who do you want to debate Obama”— Then give his greatest hits.

One thing I absolutely love about Newt is he isn’t the least bit afraid of hurting liberals “feelings”. He tells it like it is without apology.

Newt thoroughly tore Juan (and owebama) a new one. It was a beautiful thing to watch!

As usual they practically ignored Perry, who actually received as much applause as any of them when he did get a chance to speak.

Once again, Newt was at his best tonight.

Personally, I think the proper strategy now for the Newt Super PAC, is to come out with positive strong ideas in short cuts from each debate. Mr. Newt is the strongest of the candidates without a doubt to face Mr. O.

Newt should go completely positive throughout the balance of this South Carolina race and accentuate the positive ideas he has.

I have heard Newt ads on the radio here in Florida for 2 days steady. Tons of Romney TV ads.

I think both Newt and Perry will play well in Florida.

Newt did a great job tonight and one of the highlights was him putting Juan in his place.

I am not a big "R" Republican, but those of you who are could be well served with a Newt or Perry nomination.

I know it isn't going to happen as Romney has been virtually crowned. In my most humble opinion Romney will be beaten like a drum by Obama and his minions. No gravitas at all.

I read Hotair where some commentator called Newt a “honey badger”— I’m showing my ignorance, but I had never heard the term and had to look it up——

1. to not give a ***** under any circumstances; to have disregard for others’ perceptions or beliefs

2. to have such an insatiable desire that you’re willing to overcome great odds to satisfy it, such as slapping cobras, or fighting jackals

Sounds like Newt. -:)

Newt is clearly the best debater. He is at his best when fools like Juan Williams try to trap him with loaded questions. It is clear that Newt is the best candidate in the field and the most likely candidate to beat Obama.

Go NEWT!!!

Also TBBT, and I hope I don’t get flamed- but I think Juan Williams has a small conservative streak-—and I have a sense that he asked those questions because he knew Newt would ace it.

In any event, one way or another, if Newt pulls it out in SC, he has Juan to thank.
