Romney still has time to go goose hunting with the expert, John Kerry.
Romney is another dumb urb who believes shooters and hunters are all stupid hicks.

Sounded to me like Romney had a RINO stuck in his throat....

I think the rowdy audience and intensity tripped up Romney. He seems to stumble outside controlled environments.

Romney was particularly bad regarding the tax return issue.
He made himself look bad with the hum hoing around.
He can’t hide the fact he is rich, that isn’t a disqualifier.
Maybe he is embarrassed to show how very little tax he paid.
He is leaving that assumption up to us because he hasn’t shown his taxes.

It's on to Florida. Newt won, but I prefer Santorum. I watched Santorum’s town hall yesterday on CPSAN. In the question period a woman stood and said she was selling her house, but the market is in the tank, so she asked what he would do to fix the market. Santorum said he could nothing. That's why I prefer Santorum. He tells people what they need to hear and not what they want to hear. Just like Newt's idea about privatizing social security. Newt's great with coming up with gadget ideas, but they always sound too much like the free lunch. I think it will come down to Romney and Newt, and either one will lose in the general. Newt is too “red meat”, and Romney will fall because he is the stereotypical wall street Republican and plays into the Obama game plan.

I think it’s pretty obvious that Newt is the guy conservatives need to rally around to beat Romney.
I know he’s not as pure as a lot of people would like - he’s not as pure as *I* would like - but then again, YOUR preferred candidates aren’t as pure as I would like either, folks.
All the same, he’s the only candidate competent, aggressive, and knowledgable enough to both take the fight to Obama AND make a case for conservative policies.
Neither Perry nor Santorum have the competence to get the job done.

If Newt was reliably like this every day he would be the man.
Trouble is, he slips off the track and wanders off to the left at distressingly frequent intervals.

"somebody finally just had the courage to tell the truth about how we've got to go about helping people"THAT is what the Tea Party is all about.......now, stick with this theme and win the Nomination so we have the FACTS on the table.

Funny, I watched the entire debate and the person I thought got beat up the most was Obama. It was the first debate I have seen in which everyone's primary target was this administration and it's policies.
In that respect I thought it was the best debate of the season. I was cheering everyone--except Paul, at whom I was laughing.
As for winners, I thought Newt was strong, but I thought Perry was magnificent. Too bad he got off to such a bumbling stumbling start early in his campaign--still he's young enough to make a run in 8 years.
As it stands now, it's time for all conservatives to rally behind Newt and defeat Mitt.

Well-written! Is that really a Brit, using words like softball?
Yes, conservatives ARE queasy at Romney. I get queasy by his cross-eyed look, phony smile, and fake comforting voice. I don’t know how I could stand 4 years.

Yep, I call ‘em as i see ‘em!!! No doubt about it, Newt Gringrich hit it out of the ballpark on numbers of occasions last night!!! Gotta give credit where credit is due!!! Newt put in a fantastic performance. IMHO, best debate ever!!! I hope this race runs out a long way!!! Why? Because it makes our team stronger with every debate session. Shucks, even Rick Perry was in the game last night!!! Whoever wins this folks, we must all get behind and support he or she to the maximum.
The “real” enemy is truly POTUS Barack Hussein Obama and his Democrat Party. Stealing a very popular “Black American” phrase, “Eyes-On-the-Prize” is the game. Obama must be defeated, or America will continue to melt away and become a weak, third world nation.
It is really a crying shame that so many Black Americans fail to get a true readout on evil Obama, and, how really dangerous Obama is to the future of Black America!!! Sad!!! But....alas, it will not change. The exact same way African Blacks marched onto the slave ships at the bidding of their Black Muslim slave traders without so much as a whimp of protest....is the exact same way they continue to destroy their future and the future of their children, in worship of the false God and leader Barack Hussein Obama!!! Once again, you can lead a horse to water, but.....you cannot make him drink!!!! Go figure!!!

The Gang of Three (Newt, Santorum, Perry) all did very well, with Newt simply superb.
Romney fumbled a number of times, (he should call Sarah to help him distinguish between moose and elk....)
....and Ron Paul certified himself as a moron by saying he will abolish taxes.
BIG night for conservatives.

Romney was under pressure over releasing his tax returns (he eventually said that he would "probably" do so in April), on why he had not objected as Massachusetts governor to felons on parole having the right to vote and he gave an awkward, fumbling response to a softball about whether he had been hunting since 2007, even mixing up moose and elk.Not to mention the amusing gaffe about criminals being allowed to vote "after they leave office," and the not so amusing defense of Obama (saying he trusts Obama not to abuse his powers under the NDAA).
