Uh Oh!!! I had to get the battery in Momma’s car checked at the dealer yesterday. A polite young black man did the check out but now I feel so bad and must be totally racist forcing this young man to work on such a momentous occasion. NOT! Good thing we didn’t give our mostly black dog a bath yesterday. He does have some white on him though. (Sarc Off!)

The dems are worried about debates on MLK day but they work harder and harder to remove the word Christmas and anything Godly from every corner of this country. Hypocrits and Godless liars.

Lilly white Dick Harpootlian (lawyer) was working too if he was on O'Reilly last night.

He is a vile jerk!

Referring to an increase in the percentage of blacks in the sixth congressional district, which is represented by Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn, Harpootlian said Republicans “want to drain the African-American vote out of the new Seventh District and the First District, so they don’t have to talk to black people.”

He has been recognized for his million dollar verdicts in National Lawyer's Weekly

During an opinions broadcast on Megyn Kelly’s afternoon news segment for Fox, along with Ed Rollins, a noted Republican strategist, SC Democratic Party Chair, Dick Harpootlian, referred to Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney as “cabin boys” when speaking about budget matters that continue to plague the nation’s capitol inside congressional chambers. Saying “we don’t want to turn the country over to those cabin boys, Gingrich and Romney” while we’re in the middle of trying to steer the country in the right direction.

In 2000 he was accused of using anti-gay slurs when he repeatedly referred to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) as “light in the loafers.”

Earlier in the year, while running for the chairmanship, according to sources close to The Washington Post, there are several people in South Carolina who are none too keen to have Mr. Harpootlian in that catbird seat, for precisely the reasons stated here, he’s got a real loose pair of lips. In the piece by The Post, McCormick County executive committeeman Jerry Goldman is quoted as saying, “I don’t think his way of doing things is appropriate. He may be able to raise a lot of money, but money doesn’t vote.”

DICK HARPOOTLIAN, CHAIRMAN, SOUTH CAROLINA DEMOCRATIC PARTY: Well, I think, you know, class warfare is a term everybody uses but — but as a practical matter what the American people — CBS poll just a month ago showed that most Americans two out of three Americans believe that the wealthiest ought to pay their fair share. The wealthiest Americans people make over $1 million a year wrote off over the last three years $22 billion in gambling losses. Now we all understand that’s not equitable further, the top one percent with the Bush tax cuts get $66,000 a year tax cut while. While the Republican —

BOLLING: Mr. Harpootlian we can play these numbers games all you want. But I will tell you the top five percent pay 40 percent of all taxes and the top 10 percent that you point out pay somewhere around 70 percent of all taxes put into the system.

HARPOOTLIAN: Well, — well, let me put it to you this way. The average American works until April 1 to pay their taxes. Their life and their time is as important to them as a rich person, a hedge fund manager that works until February 1st. Now, this is like back in the civil war where people bought — that rich people bought their way out of — out of having to serve their country.

The question is, is there a patriotic duty to support this country? The average American is working three months a year to support government. The rich guys work in one. That is not right.

BOLLING: All right, all right, go ahead.

KELLYANNE CONWAY, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: Therein lies the problem, sir. We actually — when you add cost of government days together we’re working well into May the average person to pay off all of the types of debt the deficit and certainly our tax liability.

But the point is that this is a very quick and easy cheap way to score political points but it’s a terrible corrosive way for a President of the United States to govern a country. We deserve a President who wants to represent all people — not just the ones that he thinks aren’t rich or he thinks should be taxed more.

And this man has gone from hope and change and aspiration to really consultant-fed sound bites. And I think he’s in full re-election mode and it’s not going to work.

BOLLING: Dick — Dick I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the President and the White House said that the administration using millionaires, billionaires and corporate jet owners, meanwhile he is out there campaigning. He’s fundraising, he’s raising money from those millionaires and billionaires and corporate jet owners left and right at the taxpayer dime. He’s using Air Force One to get to these places.

HARPOOTLIAN: Well there’s many, many millionaires and billionaires who support the President’s position to pay more taxes. Warren Buffet is one of them.

(CROSSTALK)

CONWAY: Name four more.

HARPOOTLIAN: All the billionaires and all the millionaires don’t want to be patriotic and don’t want to contribute. By the way, President Obama is also for cutting the federal deficit dramatically.

There is two pieces to this. Cutting deficit; cutting spending at the same time we’ve got to plug those loopholes and make sure everybody pays their fair share. Equity.

By the way we need to go back to Bill Clinton. Everybody did great under Bill Clinton tax.

Chris Matthews: South Carolina GOP ‘Randy’ to ‘Roll Up the Vote,’ Keep Blacks From Polls

By Ken Shepherd | October 20, 2011 |

MSNBC’s scurrilous charges of racism against the GOP continued yesterday as Hardball host Chris Matthews tag-teamed with South Carolina Democratic Party chairman Dick Harpootlian and Judith Browne-Dianis of The Advancement Project to insist to viewers that a newly-enacted voter ID law will prevent thousands of blacks from voting in the Palmetto State. The law is currently under review by the U.S. Department of Justice.

As is standard operating procedure for Hardball, no defender of the South Carolina law was featured during the October 19 program’s segment — entitled “Voting Wrongs” — to balance out the discussion.

Dick Harpootlian, is running into a lot of resistance from Party stalwarts and key interest groups who recall his pockmarked record of five years as Party Chair from 1998 to 2003.

In a high profile speech before the black legislative caucus, Harpootlian’s main challenger, Phil Noble, blasted the ex-Chair for belittling minorities and alienating two key Democratic voting blocs: African-Americans and the GLBT community.

Promising to turn a page on the era of racial discrimination, chauvinism and sexism, Noble defined the race as a stark choice between the New South versus the Old South.

As Party Chair ten years ago, Harpootlian made a series of snide comments that hit print and deflated the Democratic brand sending the Party into the doldrums.

To the shock of South Carolina’s African-Americans, Harpootlian said, “I don’t want to buy the Black vote, I just want to rent it for one day.”
