Too bad Levin all of a sudden finds the need to resort to an expansive reading of the interstate commerce clause. And then he says the country wouldn't stand for a ban on salt. But somehow we stood for a Federal ban on light bulbs.

And BTW, the States could ban drugs. As for pilots and alcohol, there are reasonable Federal laws about that and there could be similar reasonable Federal laws about pilots and drugs too. In fact there already are some such laws.
