I agree with you too. You make a good point. Back when I was hoping for Cain victory, I thought Gingrich would make a good part of the administration, because he knew how things are done in Washington. We run the risk of him being an “Insider” but every one of the candidates remaining has been a politician for a long time (except Romney, who’s well, Romney. Besides, he’s been TRYING to be a politician for a very, very, long time, no one’s been voting for him, lol). But, we run that risk with everyone. I like Newt’s ability to tell the media to shut their traps. That’s the highlight of my week, during these seemingly once per week debates, lol.

No, I think these comments, plus the recent comments of Todd Palin, indicate very clearly that Newt is the anointed one. She has her good reasons for not being more direct.
Personally I'm very relieved she is not in the Romney camp. After Ingraham, Krauthammer, Coulter, Fox News...I braced myself for a Palin blessing on Romney. That is now unlikely, and that's GOOD!
I am convinced she was planning to run to stop Romney.. then Perry jumped in.. and she thought he would be able to stop Romney so she decided not to get in...

Mojitojoe, check out this site, it’s by a guy who has investigated what Bain Capital and other firms do. There are lots of links to interviews and articles. This stuff would be the albatross that will sink Romney, the idea that time and again he used struggling companies to take out loans and then when they went bankrupt, accounting gimmicks allowed him to keep all the money. Axelrod has supposedly already read this guy’s book. I think he keeps it by the bedside at night.

I think the main reason why she chose not to run is because she knew the GOP establishment would be working their asses off to make sure she did not get the nomination. Its really depressing to see Romney leading in SC, to know that so many people are just settling for Romney. Its like what happened in 2008, people settling for McCain..Sarah has always been very supportive of Newt, she said last week she would not endorse anyone right now because she knows if she did that the left would use that endorsement to trash her and the person she endorsed. She did not want that to happen. She also likes Santorum and Perry..remember, it was a Perry event in Texas when she went into labor with baby Trig, so they do have a connection..but I think she sees that Newt has the best chance at kicking Obama’s ass.
Palin knows Perry is done. She also likely knows Santorum is done.
She wants Romney gone, and right now, the man who has the best chance to do that in SC is Newt.
