Wow. That is usually the line you hear from liberals whenever such “social” funding is discussed, that it isn't that conservatives think hand outs are less a solution than a hand up - it is that they don't want black people to get any government goodies.
It is not that we think the welfare system has destroyed the black family and created a dependent and aggrieved culture - it is that we don't want black people to have food stamps!
It is not that we think the rampant nanny State is contrary to the principles of a government of limited and enumerated powers - it is that we cannot STAND the thought of the underprivileged and racial minorities being cared for!
