"It is not in the national interest to lock the United States into supporting an expensive and dirty form of oil for many years to come. Also, additional capacity for tar sands oil perpetuates America's addiction to oil, and undermines the clean energy alternatives that would bring genuine energy security," the NRDC report continues.

Let's see. Obama is against drilling off the Atlantic shelf, the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska, off the West Coast, and against shale oil production. Since his Green Energy initiative has worked out so well, I guess we really don't need to worry about oil production in this country. We'll just keep letting China grab up most of the world's oil reserve until there's none left. In the mean time we will just keep funding Obama's buddies in the Mideast Muslim oil producing countries until they own us.

Time to begin the oversight hearings in the House that will bring in selected witnesses to attest to Obama’s elemental corruption and ineptitude.

..the Natural Resources Defense Council, an environmental group, argued that the pipeline doesn't make the U.S. anymore energy secure just because it would get oil from a close neighbor and friend.

Just to be clear, the NRDC is one of those wacky enviro groups that surfaces anytime the Administration needs some green, political cover. Why Fox News chose to use them as a source for anything is suspect.

Inconceivable!

The lengths this administration will go to foist its evil agenda are transparent to most folks. It is the those whose vision is clouded by hoary, gore-y (al), pseudo science cum religion that are buying the flavorade.....

We are paying the price with the loss of the founders’ intent and thus what America was meant to be.

very sad!

President Obama Cuts Workers' Taxes To Zero
20,000 workers benefit from pipeline cancellation

The nobel prize winner...first he kill more than 200 Mexican Nationals in their homeland...now he gives the big finger to our friends to the north. I cannot wait for the reign of ineptitide by this son of a bitch to end. I thought we had a NAFTA agreement and why does this not cover the pipeline project to the US. Once it gets here, then it comes part of domestic policy.

Pipeline is an environmental problem eh? How long has the Alaskan Pipeline been running with how many big problems? Something like 23 years with minor spillage.

Obama got what he wanted. More tax money for his political donors and the opportunity to kill the pipeline without any consequence.

Bravo Republicans.

Very interesting. I know someone out there could make a video of Obama and the South American connection. Remember- the money going to Brazil Government owned Oil Company and Obama words “We’ll be their best Customer”. Throw in the oil rigs leaving the Golf and XL pipeline and put it on You Tube. Folks, that’s a Winner.

When a president acts against our national interests and our national security interests, there’s only one word for it, and only one punishment.

Treason, and hanging.

See NIMBYs and foreign manufacturing (import) interests. And yes, it’s a global oil market in some ways. But without the pipeline, oil and fuel (especially fuel) will continue to be higher in the western hemisphere without the pipeline (transportation, lack of refining, etc.).

Too bad their evil agenda isn’t transparent to the 40 some percent of the voters that still support them.
