Before Newt, nobody even imagined that the GOP could win the House. Reagan could win almost every state in the country and the House was still solidly dem.
The idea behind Contract was just to get these bills a hearing. The House wouldn’t even put these bills up for a vote before Newt. Nobody expected any of it to pass the Senate, let alone signed into law by a dem President!

The reason why I think Newt is a RINO is not because he is a self-identified moderate on most issues but like McCain, who was also conservative on many issues, he is sometimes for the wrong things but in such ridiculous over-the-top ways. For example, calling Ryan’s plan “right wing social engineering”, his push for Dede scozzafalooza, (who was from NY and not even any of Newt’s business) his attacks on capitalism, etc sounds very McCainish.

When someone is a moderate, you know what you’re going to get. When someone is like McCain or Newt, you have to scratch your head and wonder “why the hell did he just say that?”

I do wonder if “Chainsaw” Mitt Romney found a way to back-door some money to this Gingrich ex wife. Lots of money. The timing of this stinks to high heaven, and I do not believe in coincidences in politics.

When people of real wealth want something done, a man shows up with a bag of cash and a suggestion. There is nothing traceable involved.

Such offers are made after said recipient is thoroughly investigated and found to be morally ‘open’ to such arrangements.

This was the American Solutions bipartisan Newt who raised over $50 million to give him the lifestyle he deserved. He also pushed amnesty and a government approach to global warming.

Newt has been preaching the evils of private enterprise and capital

You are so full of crap your eyes are brown.

Newt was criticizing the same kind of crony capitalism that Sarah Palin was criticizing a couple of months ago. Romney made money by screwing taxpayers and looting companies. Romney was not engaged in Free Enterprise, he was engaged in Crony Corporatism. If it were truly free Enterprise, then Corporate veils would not allow people to loot a company, declare bankruptcy and then keep all the money. In a Free Enterprise economy the owners of the business do not get to hide from their risks by going bankrupt after borrowing tons of money to pay themselves dividends right before going bankrupt. In a Free Enterprise economy, people are responsible for the debts they incur.

Romney was running a risk free capital enterprise. Even Warren Buffet basically called companies like Bain Capital vultures.

Thats exactly what he needs to do.

All the women I know are backing Newt. Reason, he is the only one that has the smarts to lead this Nation back to sanity.

After nasty Slick Willy, nothing more is shocking.

Most women know that other women are vicious. This woman is dispicable rejected bitter old woman, and by the way I see her speaking, is it any wonder that he could no longer live with such a vile woman?

This is nothing but jealousy, she is only thinking that she could have been a FLOTUS, but she screwed up and is furious. How vile do you have to be to try to destroy his children and grandchildren as well?

Maybe she should take a stab at luring Ron Paul, perfect duo, two loons.

Whatever are you drinking...

That is pathetic

BTW - what do you think they would do to Santorum’s wife if he was in the lead? And the statement from her former lover, the abortion doctor, about Rick having been pro-choice?

Blame everyone else except Newt for his behavior. Facts are facts. Trying to absolve someone’s behavior by bringing up another’s shortcomings doesn’t justify Newt’s history. It’s like saying to my kid it’s ok to smoke weed because gosh Johnny down the block is snorting cocaine.

Interesting what we would be posting if it were a DEM in this same situation. Immoral behavior is just that! The former Mrs Newts did philander after there divorces. #1 obviously raised their two daughters to respect their father even if he didn’t send child support and #2 got muzzled by the then GOP.

America is better than this. We need to do what’s best for this country and not buy into this type of public personal attacks. When my neighbors got divorced I didn’t want to know why and even with all the neighborhood gossip I still don’t know why. Two sides to every story and none of my business. Knowing every detail of this type of gossip just weakens us all. I wish the public wouldn’t buy into this. Do you see the horrible reality type tv shows the young people watch. The media is ruining the fabric of our culture. Don’t denigrate yourself by watching the interview. I don’t plan to.

“As I said before, if the EX is all they have, the Libs are in trouble.”

In the world of TODAY, 50% of the men, AND WOMEN, in America are divorced.

And half of WOMEN in America have a husband who has an angry, nutjob ex-wife, just like this one.

ABC is looking for dirt, but I think they are going off the reservation on this one...

...."“At least I didn't smoke crack and get oral sex in back of a limousine with male prostitute”........

BINGO! I would say exactly that. When they come back with Sinclair was a liar, Newt should say, "Now you've met my ex". She said she would cut me off, and I said you don't know where I'm gettin it. BTW, has the murder of 3 homosexuals been solved back in the ole Rev Wright church house? I heard the choir director was real friendly with Obama. You'd think with Obama his bestest friend, he could get more info as president, you know with the AG working for him and everything.

As Shakespeare said “He’ll hath no fury like a woman scorned”
BUT- this is definitely a Romney hit job. It tells us that Romney’s polling is showing him losing, and this is a desperate act.
I hope Newt fights back with the truth.
Newt has repented and asked for forgiveness. I’ll take Newt over Romney any day. At least Newt didn’t give millions in stock and control in public companies to a religion/cult/business ie the Mormons. That, my FRiends is why Mitt won’t release his full tax returns.

But you know that in the world of today, they just got Cain so they will do this again to Newt. I don’t think that is right. There is plenty of other issues to go after him on without going into the gutter.

How in the heck is it preemptive if it is a response?

Think of it like the '67 Arab Israeli war. The Israelis preempted because they knew the Arabs were going to attack, and were thus responding to the Arabs own moves. But it was still called preemption.

So yes, he's responding to a future event that he's sure is going to happen, but he's still acting first.
