This supposedley hardball question from Williams was knocked out of the park by Gingrich and his excellent response was one of the major reasons that he won the debate.
How else can a fair observer excuse away Republican arguments that blacks are lazy parasites, whose children should live in work houses and pick up mops and brooms to learn a work ethic, that “illegal” immigrants should be killed by electric fences, or Muslim Americans should be subject to racial profiling, marked like the “Juden” of Nazi Germany?
Pretty easy if you didn’t view pretty much everything through a lens obscured by fecal matter, or a mind destroyed by alcohol and drugs. The description fair observer certainly is suspect under the circumstances. One might even wonder what mental institution you escaped from if there was such a thing anymore. And by the way, the Juden weren’t responsible for knocking down the twins, and killing 3000 Americans, now were they?

The real problem is a denial of reason and an adoption of Progressivism as faith. It is not that the things they believe in are merely wrong (though they are), it is that some things they believe are insane.
As to racism, it is the Left’s version of Original Sin. White people are born guilty. If they refuse to take the sacraments of the Church of Liberalism and thus accept and atone for their guilt, they are damned. And blacks (like Juan Williams) who even occasionally stray from the faith (in his case by agreeing to work for FOX News) are heckled as heretics.

Juan Williams is a reasonably articulate, not quite so hate-filled spokesman for most left wing points of view. He is also living proof of the “fair and balanced” which the left claims does not exist.
