I recall reading somewhere that WI law allows for unlimited contributions to the governor. Is that true?

I recall reading somewhere that WI law allows for unlimited contributions to the governor. Is that true?

Law professor Ann Althouse of the UW -- a "converted" Obama voter who now supports Walker -- says so. More specifically, it's not that the law says "No spending limit." Instead, it's the lack OF a law. Although there are limits in WI on spending for nearly every election, no such law exists as to recalls.

I haven't checked the law myself, but I trust Althouse on this.
