Airbus said on Thursday it had discovered more cracks in the wings of A380 superjumbo aircraft but insisted the world's largest jetliner remained safe to fly.
The announcement comes two weeks after tiny cracks were first reported in the wings of the 525-seat, double-decker aircraft, which entered service just over four years ago.
Airbus said it was in talks with the European safety agency, EASA.
"Additional cracks have been found and we are working closely on this issue with EASA," an Airbus spokesman said. "They do not affect safe operation of the aircraft.

Crack is a great stress reliever - until it breaks!
Just put some extra pop rivets in them and a little duct tape around the edges. They’ll be fine.
I flew on an Air France A380 in August traveling between Washington and Paris, cashing in some Delta Sky Miles for the trip. Really enjoyed myself; glad I didn’t know about the cracks in the wings.

I’ve actually seen that plane landing, in light winds (10-15 mph) you have about a million pounds bouncing like a tennis ball. IMO, IT’S TOO BIG!!!
I’ll take my chances with an Italian steamship rather than get on one of those....
