Imagine that your son has a habit of sprinkling copious amounts of bird seed and setting up impromptu birdbaths in your yard. You then notice that your property is starting to seem like an aviary, and, as beautiful as the birds are, theyre becoming bothersome. So you approach your husband and ask him to remedy the problem. He then promises to build a scarecrow, but doesnt complete the job.
And, when the situation persists and you again ask him to help, he simply scratches his head and replies, You know, its just not realistic to remove all these birds from our property; its time-consuming, expensive, and uncompassionate to boot. Besides, every time I chase a few away, more come a little while later. Now, given that hes not even hinting at the obvious solution, let alone addressing it, would you think he was very serious about remedying the problem?
On illegal migration, our politicians are for the birds. When pressed on it, the best of them will talk about building fences, beefing up the border patrol, and, sometimes even, militarizing our southern border. And these measures are all well and good. But when asked what we should do about the 12 to 25 million illegals already on our shores, the issue suddenly becomes more complex than high-temperature superconductivity. The politicians will scratch their heads and then utter something to the effect of, Well, we cant deport 12 million people. Its a response that some say is a reason and others call an excuse. But I say that, in certain cases at least, its something else: a dodge. How do I know? Because obvious solutions cant elude everyone.

I’m a republican and I have a plan!
If we cut off the inducements for illegals to be here, and I mean ALL of them, they will leave of their own accord and we won’t have to deport anyone!
Cheapest way, is to stop feeding them. They can still come and go, but they won’t want to stay...
Collecting the endorsement of an open borders, dream act supporting, tea party hating group is never a good sign.

The other approach is to remove illegals from legal protection, license the ‘taking’ and perhaps establish a bag limit to keep people from taking too many.
“four and twenty blackbirds, baked in a pie.”
If a candidate simply says, “I will enforce current law to the fullest and then see where that gets us before making further suggestions”, then I know they are serious.
One way to know he will never care, is if he employs illegals for 10 years at his personal home, even while he is Governor and living at his personal residence, and is busted by the Boston Globe in an embarrassing national scandal, claims that he fired them, and then is busted by the Boston Globe a year later, with the SAME illegals.
It’s way cheaper to just not feed them.
You can tell if a candidate is serious about illegal immigration by checking to see if he has concrete balls.
What could I possibly mean by that? Concrete balls, now that I’ve got you thinking, is a metaphor for what they’ve begun to do in Indonesia to keep top-heavy crowds from riding the trains for free (I believe the story is still on Drudge). They string fairly sizable concrete balls to hang over the tracks at a level where they would conk anyone riding on the roof.
Concrete balls on the Mexican border would be something akin to a literal minefield.
Critics would say: “Why, that’s inhumane — killing people just to keep them from getting something they’re not entitled to! Harrumph!” They continue to miss the point. The concrete balls are a complete deterrent to all but folks with concrete brains. They completely terminate the practice. No one dies from it.
Meanwhile, the people who used to die from falling off the train in transit, and the people who used to die from crossing the desert, comes to a halt.
So, in essence, concrete balls (and minefields) save lives.
That’s how you can tell if a politician is serious about illegal immigration.
“If we cut off the inducements for illegals to be here, and I mean ALL of them, they will leave of their own accord and we wont have to deport anyone!”
NumbersUSA calls this “Attrition through enforcement”. It works.
Of course it works! That is EXACTLY why it isn’t being done!
This is the ONE thing that disappointed me in the debate. Not one candidate except for Paul talks about stopping welfare benefits to illegals.
Why in such dire times with such dire budget woes do we continue to do this? MOST of this entitlement system, the Medicaid budget, etc — is DUE TO ILLEGALS ON THE ROLES!
Get them off the DOLE. I’ve never figured out exactly how they wormed their way into our welfare system to begin with!

Good analogy in that article.
They were put there by democrats during the Clinton administration.
Hope that helps
Anchor babies who come along with a gaggle of kith and kin plus ‘compassion’.
Illegals cost hundreds of billions NET each year.
Truman started it & Eisenhower finished it:
They deported over 12 million illegals—many of them Mexican.
Cut off every kind of aid/carrot they get & they will leave.
No place to rent.
Cannot buy property.
No food stamps.
No free education.
No work of any kind.....punishment for employer up to & including forfeit of company & other person assets.
No medical care-—even if of emeergency nature.
No support of any kind.
No revolving door in the justice system.....deportation & Pics, DNA & other evidence taken from each one before sending them south far enough that it isn’t easy for them to return.
No free legal assistance.
Indictment for lying about status to get a job here in the USA.
Indictment for claiming dependants outside of the USA on your W-4 to reduce your with held taxes. (This is a common prectice among those who are working above the table).
Indictment for using ANY kind of ID that isn’t correctly yours.
Indictment for lying about any part of your correct status.
Indictment for using another version of your correct name when you keep returning to the USA. (Another common practice).
No EARNED INCOME CREDIT paid back to them on the tax returns they do file.....IRS says they are paying out billions, but they cannot find any law against doing so.
I figure they are kind of like wild pigs in CA. The state sells tags, for 12 dollars, and you can take as many as 9 pigs for each tag. No limit on the number of tags you can buy.
And they are made of spam.
