Wow. TELL ME that Rush doesn't read Free Republic. Just heard him go off on (paraphrasing as best as I can recall seconds later during a commercial break) "don't for one minute think that John King went slinking away with his tail between his legs! Don't for one minute think that exchange with Newt gave John King an elevated heart rate!" The first thing out of his monologue this morning looks very much to me like he's responding directly to made on the live debate thread.
We know, Rush. We know that the MSM didn't learn a lesson. Try telling us something we don't already know. But if you think King wasn't shaken and embarassed, even if only for a few moments, then you're seeing the world through smoke-colored glasses, which provide just as distorted a view of reality as rose-colored glasses.

Newt’s response was geared towards the voters. He knows the MSM has no shame and there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell of changing them. This was raw meat for the electorate.
Mission accomplished

actually you are wrong....King was stuffed, sacked, DEA and he knew it, showed it, and rapidly analysed it.
if there was no commie larve he would be out in the cold to die as worm food...
and he knows it.....
pack with the pack, he realized he did not die and said the only thing he could
” I showed him , right ? “

To me, it doesn’t matter how the MSM feels or comes across. The fact of Newt’s performance is that what he did will move people to the polls in November. We need more of that kind of bravado.

While I like Rush and agree with him much of the time this is one instance in where I'm only in about 30-50% agreement with him on King v/s Newt last evening. Newt was right to go after King the way he did. Maybe the other candidates will start to find their spines, hopefully anyway.
