DV laws have truly done more damage to families then they will ever fix. And I don’t care who this woman is. She didn’t know all of the consequences of the DV laws, only that she thought she could punish her husband in a brief moment of rage by threatening him with arrest.
But, these laws will never get repealed because we will all accuse the politicians of wanting to go back to the stone age where men supposedly beat their wives into submission on a daily basis while on drunken binges.
Indeed, fact, along with social welfare that discourages productivity and racist affirmative action law.
Sadly this is one place where the old saw "women, children and minorities hardest hit" is, in fact, true.
