How much can it cost to store a glass tube?

It isn’t like they need special humidity controlled storage space.Doesn’t someone else make solar panels using these tubes?

Oh Well: It’s Gubmint money so who cares?

When British Leyland (MG, Triumph, Rover) filed bankruptcy back in 1981, I witnessed dealers who were required to smash all the spare parts in inventory to make them unusable. Engine blocks, pistons, cylinder heads, electrical components, etc..... All smashed and signed off with witness to the disposition at the local landfill.

I have not got a clue as to why this takes place post bankruptcy filing? It seems to be commonplace however. I worked for an office equipment company who did the same thing as well. It was more covert however.
