Free Republic is now in full open rebellion against the elite GOP establishment and we're going to need your support now more than ever!!
Free Republic is and will remain a pro-life, pro-family, limited government, strong defense grassroots conservative site. As such, we cannot and will not support an abortionist/statist RINO for president.
RomneyCare = ObamaCare = government tyranny. Taxpayer funded abortion is as evil as evil can get. Romney has stated that abortion should be safe and legal in America and that Roe vs Wade is settled law and should be defended and sustained as such. He's also on record as being in denial of Reagan conservatism and he and his GOP establishment elite RINOS openly loathe the tea party. Romney has no core conservative principles. He will not fight for our causes.
Romney is a liberal/progressive RINO!!
No more RINOS!! No Romney, no way!!
This attitude will undoubtedly cause us to lose some of our true blue Republican members. So be it.
Rebellion is not easy, not for the weak-kneed or faint of heart, not free and there are no guarantees of success. We declare our intention to fight tyranny and pray to God that we are doing His will!!
Never give-in, never give-up, never surrender!!
But we need your support to keep it going. So please keep those donations coming in folks. No matter who gets the nomination, or who gets elected, we're going to need FR now more than ever!!
We are the resistance!!
Thank you all very much!!

Long live the tea party rebellion!!
My doctor has a separate waiting section for sick patients, but I’m pretty sure I picked up this flu from all that coughing while waiting around last Friday in the lab.
I sat there with a paper towel over my face and tried as best I could not to breathe deeply. I made faces at those coughing people, too. Lot of good *that* did.
I hear you.
Right. Escalator handrails. Anything the general public touches. Kroger’s has handy wipes for the grocery carts.
We both carry germ killing hand spray and we use it!
After Mass, I make him use his hand spray. He has not be able to go to Mass for well over a week and that’s upsetting to him. He goes every day.
You probably did catch something there with all of that coughing going on.
The other thing that I won’t do is read anything in a waiting room except for my blackberry.
Very true and mine says, they should have been lawyers! LOL.
Our pharmacy still delivers anywhere in the county. I’ve known my Dr to make a house call or two but only in dire situations.
We still have young men who carry our groceries to the car and help us load.
Nothing like a small town.
(I really am praying for you sweeties. Keep taking care of yourselves and your families and get better soon.)

Exactly. I'm usually here, and am very careful about avoiding germs, but if Mr. t isn't, it makes little difference.
At the same time, it's my understanding that viruses can spread just by touching a piece of paper that someone else, who was ill, had touched.
Had to be from that lab. Coughing, hacking people, blowing noses, and nowhere for me to go! The room was large enough, so I sat far away from all of them, but air born germs travel.

You're right.
That really stinks. This is why the old system worked.
I think our local pharmacy, (locally owned) delivers, and it’s a little over a mile from here. All I need to do is get properly dressed, but that requires a shower or a bath and right now I don’t have the energy. I will have to make it my mission for sometime tomorrow.
LOL!! He’s an old school Doc! :-)

You’re right. Once saliva or other bodily fluids are aerosolized, they are much more likely to gain a foothold and infect.
“Service” is a dying art. My M-i-L lived in a tiny town and the local grocery still delivered. At least the did in the 90’s.
All you need is a robe, or a pair of pajamas, or a sweatshirt and sweatpants. Then put on a baseball cap. Believe me, whoever makes the delivery doesn’t care what you’re wearing.
