When I was a child Ike’s motorcade drove by our school. We all got out and lined the major highway. He slowed to a stop right in front of me. Tears were streaming down my face and he reached out and patted my hand. He had the kindest most beautiful blue eyes......I like Ike! Still have my pin and a noodle recipe of Mamies that we enjoy on cold winter days.
