“Did you ever consider that Newt’s unfavorables really are that high, and what the consequences of that will be?”

Don’t dare speak ill of the great conservative Newt here now... </s>

He is the great conservative knight in shining armor...Don’t cha know?

Like I said before, if he somehow beats Obama (is going to be a LOT harder then people think here). Watch how he governs. He is a progressive at heart and will govern like a big govt republican to the delight of all the GOP elite.

If you examine Noot's platform, he is actually running to the left of Mitt Romney. In the debate last night, he said he would replace Obamacare with his own version of Obamacare, and he didn't back away from his pro-amnesty position. Contrast that with Romney who said he was against amnesty and that healthcare should be a state issue, not a federal one.

There are plenty of folks here who are stuck on some river in Egypt.

At some point, when the reality of the 16 trillion debt forces choices, I think Gingrich may have the historical perspective to sign and administer the budget and the downsizing of federal government that will be forced on the administratrion that happens to be in power when the next debt crisis occurs.
