Well, we have the USCCB to thank in large part for Obamacare. The Church has been so naive to back the “social justice” of Obamacare, thinking that the objections to birth control would be listened to “later.” The Church, sadly, is now protesting too little and way way too late. Shame!

You have the Democrats in the last Congress to thank for it, the American voters who put them there, and the incompetence and crypto-socialism of the last Administration (prescription drug boondoggle, anyone? TARP?), whose inability to defend or explain their actions was largely at fault for the Republican losses in 2006 and 2008.
