Same can be said for Reagan, Churchill and Franklin.

If Reagan ran in this day and age, can you imagine the Hollywood starlets that would be coming out of the woodwork to tell stories about him? Not to mention directors, union thugs and others that he worked against. Even though the 80s were rough, they stayed away from that. I would not be surprised if Reagan had affairs during his first marriage and would not be shocked if he was less than saintly at times in his life. So what? There are things that ought to be off limits, or used to be. We don't care what Newt's ex has to say about him, we know she is not going to be a fan, and it appears that she is a little bit unbalanced. Now tell me what Newt will do in office, who his appointments will be and whether he will start a rollback of progressivism, or continue it. That is the decision we are faced with, for Mitt and Obama are both progressives, the only distinction is in the implementation.

Of your list, I knew and admired John Bolton when he was an undergraduate at Yale and a student at Yale Law. He is a great guy and was a kick-ass ambassador but never had much interest in political strategy. Gingrich promises to name him Secretary of State. Romney would probably name Cookie Monster or Big Bird.

As to the rest, Nikki Haley got $35,000 for her endorsement of Mittwit. Chris Christie is a northeastern establishment type who excites some conservatives with his rough mouth. Rick Lazio was a singularly ineffective candidate against Her Hillariness and not terribly cutting edge. McCotter and Thune are grave disappointments and have disqualified their futures by endorsing Romney. McCotter could have taken on Stabenow and did some good but, nooooo, he has to take the safe route and back Mittwit. Follow the money trail in both cases. Liddy Dole's husband was an embarrassment and she is worse. She needed to be forced from the Senate for the good of North Carolina and the nation. Dennis Hastert, who represented the district just south of my own, is a whore, pure and simple. He has tried unsuccessfully to put his son in his old seat but the scandals around Hastert's real estate deals have fatally hindered that effort.

So I am not impressed with the list other than Bolton. If John asked me personally, I would not vote for Romney, dead or alive, even if he were the GOP nominee.

Imagine that Al Qaeda were an enemy of Obozo, would that make Al Qaeda your friends??? Hillary? David Duke? Etc.

Marianne is wife #2. Hers is selective indignation. She was canoodling with Newt when he was still married to wife #1. Did she think she was marrying Mr. Monogamy? Now she is verrry upset because he cheated on her???? I favor Mitt but don't care for his extramarital misbehavior. Nonetheless, Marianne has little standing to complain.

In a PR contest between Newt and Marianne, I'm betting on Newt. It will be no contest. Note tonight's South Carolina results. She had an effect on the results and he skyrocketed in the polls. Thank you, Marianne! Your fifteen minutes are up!

Newt can certainly articulate conservative values clearly and unapologetically and he knows how to take names. See tonight's South Carolina results.

Next, if a nominee should die or resign, there is always a committee on vacancies empowered by the convention to choose a replacement. Not a perfect idea but there are no realistic alternatives.

If Newt lives another 70 years and keeps on bashing the lamestream media, it will NEVER get old nor begin to even things up for their partisan behavior for Marxism and social revolution.

If Obama will never agree to debate. nationally televise and youtube a comedy series at his expense of Newt debating Obama's lying news clips with Comrade O's empty chair in front with his worst picture propped up thereon. Produce it well enough and Comrade O will debate soon enough.

He should have said something along the lines of “I realize I hurt someone who loved me and I regret it.” He is only in it for his own selfish ends
