Listening to Newt getting drilled by some British reporter a couple weeks ago is worth repeating. Newt swats the questions away like a fly.

He is so fast on his feet. You either like or hate him, but Man he’s good at it. This reporter is trying to get him to tell us what he thinks about Romney as a person, to make a statement about his character.

He keeps asking, finally Newt says, “There is nothing about that question that compells me to answer it.”

Reporter: “Well what do you think of Romney?”

Newt: “I don’t.”

REporter: “You have no comment on the man’s character?”

Newt: “I’m not here to provide a psychoanalysis of Mitt Romney.”

REporter: “Would you work for him?”

Newt: (long pause) “No, and I don’t think he’d want to work for me either.”

Hahahahaha.....Great stuff. Will not be a dull moment if Newt is in the WH.

It’s hysterical nonsense stories like this that make me angry.

Newt is the “angriest man in America.” Oh, ok ..really?

I’m angry that reporters won’t do their jobs anymore. I’m angry they’ve forgotten who they are and what the proper role of the press is in this country. There’s not a true journalist among any of them anymore.

[[ Reporter: “Well what do you think of Romney?”
Newt: “I don’t.” ]]

Has Newt been channelling Howard Roark?

(Aside: this is a near-identical response to one of the most famous dialogues from Ayn Rand’s “The Fountainhead”)
