Coulter: ‘With Newt Gingrich you throw out the baby and keep the bath water’
The Daily Caller ^ | 21 Jan 2012 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 01/22/2012 3:42:26 PM PST by mandaladon

On a Sunday morning appearance on “Fox & Friends,” conservative columnist Ann Coulter explained why Romney fell short in the South Carolina GOP presidential primary, blaming the priorities of South Carolina voters for Gingrich’s success.

“Apparently, South Carolinians would rather have the emotional satisfaction of a snotty remark toward the president than to beat Obama in the fall,” Coulter, the author of “Demonic: How the Liberal Mob Is Endangering America,” said. “We saw it in the debates when Gingrich would say things that didn’t really make sense. That is what you usually associate with Democrats, which I described in my last book, ‘Demonic,’ how mobs behave.”

Some of what Gingrich has said might appear to make sense, she said, but should be analyzed more closely.

“Something that sounds like it makes sense like, ‘Mitt Romney doesn’t have influence over his super PAC — that makes you wonder if he’ll have influence as president,’” she continued. “How many times does Mitt Romney have to say it is illegal for a candidate to have influence on the super PAC. It is not, interestingly, though, for a president to have influence. So it makes no sense if you think about it for all of three seconds, but it sounds like it makes sense. It is just like what you get from liberals most of the time and the cheers and yahoos, and that is what we kept getting from this audience.”

Coulter, who has been a Romney supporter since New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said he would not be seeking the Republican nomination, was asked if Romney should change his strategy now that he suffered a defeat in South Carolina, and perhaps go on the offensive with “fire in the belly.”

The only thing that makes me madder than a stupid Democrat is a stupid Republican.

In the end we’ll coalesce and draw ranks behind the candidate...even if it’s Romney....Yes... even if it’s him..

Uhh, nope.

If the GOP runs Romney, they are on their own.

They pulled that on us last time, no way will I ever vote for Romney.

Ron Paul isn’t running as a Republican, and who’s to say Jindal won’t be a running mate. If you say cheers to me one more time, I’ll see you at 10 paces, “Christian.”

Just hitting twitter:

FYI, great news. PPP first Fl about to come out with Mitt and Newt virtually tied. Mitt was up 15 not too long ago. They said 600 surveyed and Mitt got 2 more than Newt.

Coulter is going to be very upset.

No, but he just said “you freepers” and predicted Newt was sure to lose. Was it sarcasm? I did ask it as a question.

So she’s lying and it IS legal for a candidate to have influence on the Super-Pac?

She is being used by the leftists now. It all changed when she connected with the homosexual log cabin “Republibcans”. You can not stay rational if you believe sodomy is “good” and a “right” —that such dysfunctional evil urges are taught as a great “lifestyle” in the schools with pederasts, like Milk, treated as heroes when they were filthy pedophiles and degenerates. Washington gets no hero worship in today’s schools. He gets scorned. Upside down logic—no logic and reason allowed anymore as Annie had demonstrated.

It is an evil agenda that she signed onto—one which destroys parental rights to raise their own children without state corruption or interference with religion and the freedom of conscience.

She is mentally gone-—too bad she hadn’t gotten married and given birth to a child—maybe she would still care about the future of America.

Independents Love Newt because he is a straight shooter unlike plastic Romney and Zero.

It's Newt's time... people are fed up from all walks of life and Newt articulates American’s who are out of work and/or their life has taken a turn for the worse since Zero took over.

Independents went STRONG for Gingrich in South Carolina and will go Strong for Gingrich in Florida. And the Senior citizen population, Newt's voting block in Florida Loves NEWT Gingrich!!! Newt can talk to them about staying active in the Silver Sneakers Program which he was a part of.

Go Newt ... GO FLORIDA !!!

Yes, she's lying. She knows the deal but she's saying things that are not true in an attempt to sway weak minds.

It is illegal for Romney to sit down with his super PAC and strategize.
It is illegal for Romney to collaborate with the super PAC.
It is illegal for Romney's team to do these things.

BUT Romney could say, into a mic, at an open event (such as a debate) that he abhors these ads, does not like these ads, and feels that these ads hurt him and hurt the GOP. He could make a public plea for the super PAC to stop.

That's not illegal at all. You see -- he CAN influence them.

In other words... should we tentatively put Iowa as open? Possibly in Newt's column?
