50 is the epicentre of heart/stroke risk for men. Senator Kirk was at a high risk age in a highly stressful profession. I hope they were able to get him medical care before there was too much damage. Very sad.
One of the local hospitals is always running radio ads for it’s stroke center in which they talk about ischemic strokes, which are usually warning signs of greater danger lurking just around the corner. Fortunately Senator Kirk recognized these symptoms and was able to seek medical assistance before things got too bad.
