This is hopefully good news, according to the article:

“Due to his young age, good health and the nature of the stroke, doctors are very confident in the Senator’s recovery over the weeks ahead.”

Fox says he should recover fully.

Good news, both from a humanitarian and political viewpoint. I just dread the thought of another Illinois senate seat bidding war. I mean our prisons are having an over crowding problem due to the current crop of governors.

Watch the liberal banshees come out of the woodwork and say evil things about Kirk having a stroke...

I pray for his recovery.

My husband had a bleed in his brain back in 2001. He was paralized on his left side, but with therapy he overcame and was able to drive again. They are never the same physically though.

Praise the Lord the Surgery went well and that he didn’t die. Imagine what would happen if Pat Quin the Democrat Governor has sent another Democrat to help Harry Reid to replace him. Ugh!

May he have a successful, speedy recovery.

News conference today:

Kirk’s doctor says:

He has opened up and removed part of the skull 4 in. x 8 in. to relieve pressure on the brain. Says Kirk may not get use of left arm as of now.

Doctor said diagnosis is:

Carotid artery dissection
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carotid artery dissection is a separation of the layers of the artery wall supplying oxygen-bearing blood to the head and brain, and is the most common cause of stroke in young adults.[1] (While generic dissection can imply any kind of tear, cut or other breach in a tissue, in this context of vascular medicine, dissection is a blister-like de-lamination between the outer and inner walls of a vessel, generally originating with a partial leak in the inner lining.)[2]

What is a hemicraniectomy?

A hemicraniectomy is one of the most effective ways of relieving massive brain swelling. This surgical procedure, which is performed in the operating room under anesthesia, consists of temporarily removing a portion of the skull (sometimes up to one half or more) in order to allow the swollen brain to expand beyond the confines of the skull bone, without causing further elevations in brain pressure. The part of the skull bone that is removed is typically frozen until the swelling has resolved, at which point it can be sutured back onto its original place.

He being a RINO, how will they know if he has recovered?
Dull speech, dull logic, dull evertything...
he will be confused for a democrat.
Perhaps pin on name tags will help with the confusion.
Hopenchange, hopenchange, hopenchange.......

Fox radio news during the Rush program related the post-operative news from Kirk's doctors that he will have paralysis on one side of his body including face.

Therapy probably will improve or hopefully these stroke effects.

He is 53 years old. I wish him well.

Indeed.

Harry Reid must be praying to whatever God those kooky Mormons believe in that ole’ Marky kicks the bucket.

Sounds like he’ll live but I heard the use of his left arm could be screwed. Poor guy.

This is disturbing to some older people I know, since he’s fitter and younger than them and almost died from a stoke.
