What gives them the right to take a photo of your house, your car and you if you are in the front or back garden or you walking down the road?

As long as those things are visible from a public space they are fair game. However, special equipment like telephoto or anything else that can see better than the naked eye can't be used.

I agree with you, manc. And, it's perfect for the massive amount of thieves we have in our working class neighborhood, they know what vehicles are in our driveways/carports.

We have a six to eight foot wall/fence because of our pool. No ordinary person walking by, or commercial airliner flying overhead, would be able to see into our yard. Yet, it's ok for Google to have their spy satellites, posting photos for the entire world to peer in our backyard?
