Nail on head.

What gives Google the right to take photo’s of your back yard from their spy satellites up in the sky is the exact question.
Pervs, nosy neighbors , thieves etc are all for it and have been known to use Google earth.

We created a privacy fence from all bushes and yet I was photographed in my backyard doing garden work.
WTH
I got my house and cars removed but that took some time for them to delete it from the street view.

That’s enough to make my head explode off my body — about how they photographed you. The whole thing is like some pervert’s paradise!

I know it... I worked for years to grow up the trees so that they would mostly hide our yard. But, last winter, we had a terrible freeze and our big lemon tree died. So, in their next pervo spy shots, they can see what we have growing in the garden, etc.

Even neighbors standing on rooftops (not like they would anyway) wouldn’t have had such a clear view of our backyard before.

Between the red light cams, speed vans, and everything else in our town, it’s like we live in some big prison yard. The one place I felt “safe” was in the backyard. Not now... What if I’m photographed in my sweats, or bending over in an unflattering way, or something and a future boss is looking? It’s all really unfair and just no one’s business.

On top of it, the elites commandeering this probably live in remote/gated/guarded enough spots that THEIR homes won’t be invaded.

I’m glad to hear you had success — maybe I should try to get us removed.
