BALTIMORE, Md. During a House GOP retreat in Baltimore on Friday, press secretaries for Speaker of the House John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor balked when asked if their bosses believe Attorney General Eric Holder should resign over Operation Fast and Furious.
Sixty-three congressmen, two senators, two sitting governors and every major Republican presidential candidate have demanded Holders ouster over the resulting scandal. And 89 congressmen have signed a House resolution of no confidence in Holder as the nations top law enforcement officer. Between the two lists, which dont perfectly overlap, 101 members of the House have no confidence in Holder, believe he should resign or both.
Though that number 101 Congressmen is nearly half of the 242-member Republican caucus in the House, and the surge continues to grow, the press secretaries for Boehner and Cantor refused to answer the question.
Boehner spokesman Michael Steel has ignored emails on the subject for months, but when TheDC caught up with him at the retreat and again asked if his boss thinks Holder should resign for the gunrunning operation that killed U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and at least 300 Mexican civilians, Steel replied, I dont think he has said anything on that.
TheDC followed up with Steel in the lobby of the Waterfront Marriott and asked him if hed just ask Boehner the question. Yeah, maybe, Steel replied.

Thus showing their true chicken sh** RINO colors.
After everything that has come out and the numerous ovesight hearings the GOP leadership in the House and Senate still will not call for the minimum penalty of Holder’s resignation. Pathetic
“oh, you did it to advance your agenda? Well, then, we can understand that.”
Boner should resign.
I knew he was going to be a disaster.
Holder should be frog-marched in handcuffs out of the DOJ building, tried for treason, and shot as a traitor to our USA.
Let me understand this - this is coming from the press secretaries, not from the Congressmen themseles.
I see a couple of employment slots opening very quickly. As for the people that should already have been discharged, there is a whole contingent out there that is perfectly willing to hire the two people “displaced” by these actions.

Thus showing their true chicken sh** RINO colors.”
This is exactly why we need Newt “LEROY” Gingrich as President. We need a Conservative with a spine in office to neuter these RINO clowns. GO LEROY GO!
Holder's resignation?!! Egads, Lovey! How dare those 86'ers rock the yacht of collegiality?
Government of the government, by the government, for the government must be preserved!
Hey! That’s an insult to vaginal orifices!
Real profiles in courage there.
Two words: Country Club. We the People are not members.
But they are so busy looking out for our interests....ping.
S0meone has their FBI files, me thinks.
They have become dirty, the destroyers of liberty.
If only they were h0lding out for a frog-march.
I think that the longer Holder stays, the more damage he will do to Obama in 2012. If he resigns now or if Obama replaces him, he will be a distant memory by November. Fast and furious is going to be a big issue in the election, and I suspect the republicans want to keep it that way.
