Did he also use duct tape, instead of arm straps?
I’m glad I went to the guy who charges $2300. Everything was absolutely top-class, including the 3-D X-rays.
You get what you pay for!
Hey, under Obamacare this guy would be getting a medal.
Aren’t paper clips stainless steel? So what’s the problem?
Massachusetts, Massachusetts there’s THAT word again. Humm WHERE have I heard it(RomneyCare)!?
Is it safe? Is it safe?
Hell, I was glad not to get splinters of wood, by MY dentist.
I just had a root canal done and have the gutta percha in place awaiting the steel posts inserted and tooth filled. The dentist went dwon through a gold crown he put on seven years ago. Most of the crown remains but the tooth is now a dead base. Tomorrow I get the temp filling and posts removed and the permanent things applied. Then it’s onto a ‘build-up’ and crown prep for an ‘eye tooth’. [I still don’t get why they call grinding away most of a tooth a ‘build-up’ preparing for a crown to be applied.]
I don’t understand. Wouldn’t it be galvanized steel (paperclips) instead of SURGICAL (not simply stainless) steel?
And people wonder why some of us have dental phobias?
Of all of the medical professions out there, dentists personally scare me the most. I’ve had NUMEROUS scary encounters with dentists and have a huge problem with even getting a cleaning.
My personal favorite was when a dentist told me as a 12 year old that “you don’t really need novacaine for this filling, it’s so small you won’t really feel much at all,” and then proceeded to drill. I felt everything. He then yelled at me for flinching while I screamed.
Yeah...great guy. Yeah....pretty good phobia here of all things dental related.
Whatley!
Ok, so how does one check out a Dr or dentist ahead of time?
So THAT’s why my teeth keep trying to staple papers together...
Dentists are such bores as they are always down in the mouth! Even though they are well drilled the old grind just wears them out! It is really not a profession one would care to sink their teeth into. It is only occasionally that a dentist has a crowning experience!
I thought Medicaid and Medicare didn’t cover dental. Does anyone know the lowdown on this?
As to using paperclips, I would think dry wall nails would have a much longer shelf life.
This dentists’ patients were lucky.
A coworker of my wife, whose spouse went in to a ‘bargin rate’ dentist, had the shock of her life.
She was sedated for some dental procedure, when she came to ALL her teeth were missing, along with the dentist.
Never found the teeth, never found the dentist.
She still is without teeth.
No wonder I haven’t seen that little Microsoft guy tapping on my screen lately...
Seems the dentist I saw in Florida left the files used in each of the three roots in the canal and cemented them in instead of the stainless steel posts he had to use. I had him give me these as a “souvenir” and they're sitting here beside me.
My current dentist saw something that just didn't look right and although it cost me almost $2500, I'm glad I had him fix it the correct way as I was starting to get an infection at the bottom of one of those roots.
It's a good thing I don't live in Florida anymore as I'd have an interesting conversation with my old dentist.
