I have met Jon Huntsman his father and his mother. Saw their rare collection of indian papoose blankets and rugs. They are real people but of course LDS. They do not push their religion at you at all, but they live theirs.
Jon the elder worked in the Commerce department in the Nixon WH and saw Nixons return. When he saw how little Nixon gave to charity he quit.
Because Jon made so much money to keep the 10% rule he had to go outside the LDS and became the largest single contributor to Catholic charities. He has a standing Papal invite to visit because of this. When he got prostate cancer he started a very large foudation for cancer research.

You may not like their theology but it is hard to challenge their generosity. Mitt fits this mold.

It is not certain that Huntsman is a Mormon, Time tried to pin it down in an interview with him, and the author said she is more confused about it now than before, I was too after reading it.
He is a very weird fellow and is raising one daughter Hindu, and just married off another in a Christian church.
