What are the party rules? Is the RNC chairman going to unilaterally decide who will be the party candidate? Are Congressional Republican party members going to vote on for ‘brokers’ or are they going to vote on who is going to be candidate? Or do R state representatives get to vote? ... We primary voters are just such nuisances to our betters, aren’t we? And they let us have the fantasy of believing we matter and everything. How unappreciative we are.
These are the same people who insist on a moderate candidate because “conservatives can’t win”. That tells you all you need to know about those people: they have no faith in conservatism. If they truly believed in it, their passion would sell it to the mushhead middle they are so worried about.
But they don’t and they can’t. So they can get dumped in the trash along with the mailings they send me.
So they are admitting that the “Party Elites” choose the Candidate, and NOT the “People”.
