Imho, his mother, and his relationship with his mother have a lot to do with the person he is today.

Absolutely!

He is a sick puppy.

It is clear from his book that there is an ongoing internal love-hate struggle going on with his white mother. He knows she was a unwed trollop who abandoned him to be raised by his grandparents. (typical white people)

The only person who treated him worse was his black father, whoever he may be.

Yet, ironically, Obama embraces his blackness and shows real hate for whites.
He forgives his black father but not the flawed white mother.

So he is a bi-racial bag of torment and conflicting emotions. It is easy to see that much of what he does is a form of payback energized by the bitterness he carries from his childhood.
