That’s why this entire story is so difficult to confirm. Its just loaded with side tales. Put them all together and you still don’t have absolute “facts” about what happened.

The story that we always heard was that the son was being pressured by that group who was outing gay Republicans. It was said that McCain gave the gay Republicans cover by forming his gang of seven, but for those outside Congress, there was no refuge.
So, where does Newt fit in? I just don’t see it.

I have tactics and strategies I won't write here as these above are the worst, but why telegraph plans? Then again, I doubt I could be a line officer at my age should this war occur. The biggest thing we'd need is huge armaments which would mean we'd have to influence Langley( in no order) all the military, all alphabet soup companies plus of course the Joint Chief, usurp congress who are trying to usurp American and the constiturion and jail them as political prisoners and force them into a "collective" re-education camps Obama has already proposed and in the works there of ie, Attackwatch.com. the .gov sight and his ads having families turn in their family. He has fired more than the first shot, but to justify killing anyone in an all out war, well, I don't see it yet. But it's damned close, I think it's at the formation stage.
It could be the next TEA parties where Union , or wome groups/instigators start killing unarmed citizens and take one for the team calling themselves TEA partiers, could even be a racial deal, or a class war deal( bring in the OWS and anarchists like the Nazi thugs Hitler used then killed all of them to "prove " he was for the peope then the gestapo stepped in and an even worse horror began.), could be a hundred things that LOOK like it was consrvatives that did it to get the OWS frothing at their own hatred to go ballistic and for awhile we'd be in the defense and if the internet is "controlled" we'd have a hard time getting the word out and organizing in any social media that has destroyed multiple African countries. Enough from me. I have no idea how it would begin, and quite possibly( 90% on this) I'm full of Newt baloney! There's also EMP bombs that could screw the pooch on any organization but that tries to fight IF Obama conties, IF he's not stopped and IF he regains the rezident Czar, I mean does now Moochell want to be called "her Exzemacellency" now? it's getting more than evil and weird, it's outright hostil and he's trying to turn Americans against each other. This is the beginning of the propaganda war..or wuite possible the end of the beginning( seee tag line, Winston Churchill), I dunno. I better stop, not that these are just thoughts and not real scenarios as I see them( 10%) but I'm not giving away anything when the enemy reads all of this stuff.

I read your link and still don’t think that it passes the smell test. The article says that even Scarborough only accused Armey, not Gingrich. It says that some in the press thought that it was Gingrich because he benefitted
most.
The story that I had always heard was that it was a homosexual encounter while he was in college, not with a politician.
Who knows. Doesn't matter much now except that Brit is visceral in his bitter comments about Newt, more so than even the libs that Fox has on for "fairness and balance."

Everyone looks like they think he’s batshit crazy but there’s nothing they can do about it.
He says the same old stuff all the time. It was nothing but a canned stump speech.
He talked about new agencies and more oversight one hour and made noise about smaller more efficient government in the next.
He is insulting our intelligence and I don’t really think even half of these people clapping really believe anything he’s saying any more than we do.
