Its not the gas, its the diesel. Diesel brings everything you buy to you...true, but I believe most people don't think much abut that, and the cost of the fuel is usually hidden from them in the price of the goods they buy - but people do start paying attention when gasoline prices start climbing, costing them more and more to get to work, to the market, to visit grandma, and to do all sorts of things in their day to day lives - and then they start to cut back in other areas like eating out, fixing up their homes, and buying new cars - and then we're into another recession, and then.......
