These pictures do not adequately reflect the fabric she is wearing — a shiny satin, it appeared. It did not look appropriate for a solemn occasion such as the SOTU. None of the other ladies were dressed in shiny fabrics. I don’t mind the color, or the style. But, the fabric and the sparkles looked like the dress belonged in a cocktail lounge. At least her shoulders were covered.

You’re right. The dress is more suitable for a cocktail party. NOT appropriate at all.

And, as usual, her dumpy figure is showing- as well as her usual dead eye expression.

You're right that the fabric was not appropriate.

But what is, these days? I'm watching Fox Business, Varney, right now, and generally you see lots of cleavage and tight, too-short, too-tight dresses and extreme, fetishized shoes, false eyelashes and too much makeup. This is business attire?

And I'm probably alone in that I hate, hate, hate seeing brides in strapless dresses. They look like playboy bunnies shaking their boobs around, not demure or decorous brides. Yet, every bride has to flaunt her boobs, her shoulders and bare arms at the altar. Yuck....

So, shiny fabric is not such an offense...

"It did not look appropriate for a solemn occasion such as the SOTU." -------- You think that was bad, remember THIS?http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v491/malex130/michellepartydressmedalofhonor.jpg 09/20/2009) "You might think a posthumous Medal of Honor award ceremony would be a somber occasion, but not everyone would agree with you. Either this is an especially skillful photo shop effort or Michelle Obama has no clue whatsoever about the nature of this event. U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jared C. Monti’s parents received the award for him. I hope they didn’t notice the first lady’s stunningly inappropriate dress, but that’s unlikely." http://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/06F6ats2nHezX/610x.jpg What not to wear to a Medal of Honor award (Michelle Tarts Up for Ceremony) http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2344378/posts?page=351
