Funny, when I was in Istanbul two summers ago, I didn’t have the same reaction. My guide spent the day “quizzing” me on Christianity. He said that Muslims knew more about Christianity than Christians did - that we were ignorant and weak. Glad I paid attention in Sunday School and Bible Study so I could at least defend my faith with facts and logic. When he realized that I wasn’t going to back down, He said, “first we ask you nicely to join us. Then we tax you. Then we kill you”. The quote is verbatim. I can’t imagine not wanting to be part of that!!! Needless to say, he didn’t get a tip :-)

“first we ask you nicely to join us. Then we tax you. Then we kill you”.

That must be the Twitter definition of Islam.

It fits.

“first we ask you nicely to join us. Then we tax you. Then we kill you”.

If your Christian neighbor really "gets religion", he'll start studying the Bible. And maybe tell you how wonderful it is.

If your Jewish neighbor really "gets religion", he'll start keeping kosher. And maybe tell you how wonderful it is.

If your Buddhist neighbor really "gets religion", he'll start practicing Tai Chi. And maybe tell you how wonderful it is.

If your Moslem neighbor really "gets religion" ...

“first we ask you nicely to join us. Then we tax you. Then we kill you”.
