Years ago my 80+ yo grandmother and her oldest daughter were surprised one night by a man breaking in their back door. He slapped them around looking for cash but they had none. He grabbed the TV and was headed out the back door with it when she retrieved her 32 revolver from her nightstand and took a shot at him. The bullet went right under his nose and slammed into the door jamb by his head. He dropped everything and hightailed it, probably leaving a brown trail behind him.
