LA CENTER, WA (KPTV) -
A suspected prowler at a La Center home has died after being shot by a homeowner early Tuesday morning, sheriff's deputies said.
Clark County sheriff's deputies said they received a 911 call about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday about a prowler in the 900 block of northwest Pacific Highway.
While deputies were on their way to the scene, the homeowner called 911 again, reporting he had shot the alleged intruder outside the house.
When deputies arrived, they found Barry Parnel, 29, in the driveway. He had a gunshot wound to the chest and abdomen.
Parnel was rushed to PeaceHealth Medical Center, where he later died.

but, that said, this is Clark Co, not King or Pierce Co
(Seattle, Tacoma), so there will be no hand wringing about deceased being a ‘good boy’ who just ‘needed help’.
