Since college players aren't paid nearly as much as pro athletes, they are much more tempted to point-shave. The economist Justin Wolfers
has estimated that about 1% of men's college basketball games (which is dozens of games a year) may be manipulated through point-shaving.
Would that mean that 0.01% have both sides trying to shave
at the same time? :)
